Looking for Visual Basic Developer :with minimum 4 years of development experience.
Purpose
The primary role of the software developer is to design and develop codes for the in-house application enhancements.
Essential Duties
· Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
· Perform coding to written technical specifications.
· Investigate, analyses and document reported defects.
· Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
· Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
· Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
· Performs related duties as assigned.
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Software Development Manager
Skills/Attributes
· 4+ years’ experience in Visual Basic 6.0 application development.
· 2+ years’ experience in building classes and creation of DLL’s
· Knowledge of database architecture and design (Microsoft SQL Server).
· Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts.
· Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
· Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
· Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
· A commitment to quality and deadlines.
· Good team player.
Education
· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related area.
Computer Skills
· Excellent Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server knowledge.
· SQL Server (Database design/Development)
· Reporting Tools (e.g. Crystal Reports, Data Reports).
· Knowledge in .NET platforms
· Experience in COM components
· Excellent in XML related subjects
